Diet Studio organized a hands-on pizza-making workshop titled “Slice & Sizzle by Flavours” at COTHM Garden Town Campus, Lahore, offering participants an opportunity to develop practical culinary skills and explore professional pizza preparation techniques.
The workshop was led by Chef Ameer Hamza, Specialist in Baking and Patisserie, who guided participants through the preparation of four pizza varieties: Tarte Flambee Pizza, Ranch Pizza, Ortolana Pizza and Protein Powerhouse Pizza. The session introduced participants to different flavour combinations, ingredient selection, presentation techniques and practical approaches to pizza-making.

The workshop emphasized experiential learning by allowing participants to explore culinary methods under professional guidance. It also highlighted the importance of hands-on training in developing practical competencies relevant to the hospitality and food service industries.
The initiative supported the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting skill-based learning and opportunities to enhance culinary knowledge.

It also aligned with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, highlighting the value of professional culinary skills in hospitality and food service careers. Discussions around ingredient selection, different pizza varieties and informed food choices further connected the activity with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
Additionally, the workshop encouraged awareness of responsible ingredient use and minimizing food waste during preparation, supporting SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Through initiatives such as “Slice & Sizzle by Flavours,” Diet Studio continues to promote culinary creativity, practical education, nutrition awareness and responsible food practices. The workshop provided participants with an engaging learning experience combining professional instruction, practical skill development and sustainable food awareness.
