Valencia Hotels Reach 85.4% Advance Occupancy for October Holiday

Hotels across Spain’s Valencian Community have recorded 85.4% advance occupancy for the October holiday period, with Benidorm and Peñíscola approaching 90%, according to data from the hotel association Hosbec.

The figures cover the four-day period from 9 to 12 October 2026, including the Day of the Valencian Community on 9 October and Spain’s National Day on 12 October. Hosbec said the figures reflect confirmed bookings and exclude potential last-minute reservations, leaving room for occupancy to increase.

Benidorm currently leads the destinations covered, with confirmed occupancy of 88.7%, followed closely by Peñíscola at 88.6%. The Costa Blanca, excluding Benidorm, has recorded 80.6%, while Alicante Sur stands at 74.9%.

In Valencia province, the city of Valencia has reached 84.7% advance occupancy, compared with the provincial average of 81.7%. Castellón province has secured bookings for 79.7% of its available hotel capacity.

Hosbec attributed the positive outlook partly to favourable weather forecasts and demand from nearby markets. The association’s figures also indicate that tourism demand is extending beyond the traditional summer peak across several destinations in the region.

Nuria Montes, Secretary General of Hosbec, described the booking position as a positive signal for the four-day holiday period. She also highlighted the distribution of demand across the Valencian Community’s three provinces as evidence of the region’s continued appeal outside the main summer season.

In a separate promotional initiative, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana is showcasing the region’s gastronomy in Mexico to strengthen its international tourism profile. The organisation presented Valencian culinary identity at the Cena Sorolla event at Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, drawing on the region’s landscape and Mediterranean culture.

Marián Cano, the Valencian regional minister for Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Trade, participated in the initiative, which involved Spanish tourism and business organisations. The promotional mission is also continuing in Monterrey.

The domestic booking figures and international promotional activity reflect two complementary priorities for the region: sustaining visitor demand during autumn and expanding awareness of Valencia’s cultural and gastronomic attractions in overseas markets.
