Maryam Nawaz has directed all administrative and police officers across Punjab to remain actively present in the field during Eid ul-Adha instead of working from offices, aiming to ensure effective monitoring of security, cleanliness, and public facilitation throughout the province.
According to official directives, officers have been instructed to supervise Eid arrangements closely, maintain uninterrupted civic services, and respond promptly to public concerns during the holidays.
The Chief Minister also announced a strict fine of Rs. 50,000 for individuals found disposing of animal waste and offal in streets, drains, canals, and other public spaces. Authorities have been directed to enforce cleanliness regulations and take firm action against violations to maintain hygiene and environmental safety during Eid festivities.
In addition, officials have been ordered to ensure the proper functioning of designated cattle markets while preventing illegal livestock trading in unauthorized areas. Special emphasis has also been placed on maintaining continuous water supply, sanitation services, and traffic management across urban and rural districts.
The government has further introduced enhanced security measures, cyber monitoring, and emergency response mechanisms to maintain public safety and prevent any untoward incidents during the Eid holidays. Authorities warned that strict action will be taken against negligence or failure in duty by concerned departments.
The directives are part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to improve public service delivery, cleanliness management, and citizen convenience during one of the country’s busiest festive periods.
