Pakistan’s Embassy in China hosted a spectacular “Pakistan–China Silk Road Mango Festival 2026” in Beijing, celebrating the country’s world-renowned mangoes while commemorating 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
Held at Pakistan House and co-hosted with the Asia-Africa Trade Promotion Office, the festival brought together more than 400 distinguished guests, including senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, importers, media representatives, artists, cultural figures, and members of trade organizations from both countries.
The event served as a vibrant platform to celebrate the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China while promoting Pakistan’s rich agricultural heritage and expanding opportunities for bilateral trade.
Guests were treated to an impressive display of Pakistan’s premium mango varieties, including internationally renowned favorites such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, Langra, and Dussehri. Alongside fresh mangoes, visitors explored a diverse selection of mango-based products, showcasing the versatility and export potential of Pakistan’s thriving fruit industry.
The festival highlighted Pakistan’s fertile agricultural landscape and reaffirmed the country’s reputation as one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of high-quality mangoes, prized globally for their exceptional sweetness, aroma, and flavor.
Addressing the gathering, embassy officials emphasized that the festival was more than a celebration of Pakistan’s “King of Fruits.” It also reflected the deep-rooted friendship, cultural affinity, and growing economic partnership between Pakistan and China under the spirit of the Iron Brothers relationship.
Business representatives and importers attending the event expressed strong interest in expanding the import of Pakistani mangoes and other agricultural products, underscoring the growing demand for premium Pakistani produce in the Chinese market.
The festival also featured cultural presentations and networking sessions, providing an opportunity for participants to strengthen business ties, promote people-to-people connections, and explore new avenues for agricultural and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Officials noted that initiatives such as the Pakistan–China Silk Road Mango Festival play an important role in enhancing Pakistan’s soft diplomacy, promoting its export sector, and introducing Chinese consumers to the country’s rich cultural traditions and world-class agricultural products.
