In the second phase of Pakistan’s participation at the prestigious ECO Tourism Capital 2026, the country’s culinary delegation was accorded a special honor with an exclusive VIP cultural tour of Shusha’s historic landmarks, further strengthening cultural ties and regional engagement.

Representing Pakistan, Chef Wasim and Usman Saqdar from COTHM, along with their official delegation, were given privileged access to explore the rich heritage and architectural legacy of Shusha. The guided tour offered deep insights into the city’s historical significance, cultural identity, and its transformation into a hub for tourism under the ECO platform.

The delegation visited key historical sites, experiencing firsthand the blend of tradition, restoration, and cultural preservation that defines Shusha. The VIP tour served as a platform for cultural exchange, allowing the Pakistani representatives to connect with the host nation’s heritage while sharing their own perspectives on tourism development and cultural storytelling.

This exclusive engagement reflects the growing importance of cultural diplomacy within international tourism events, where participation extends beyond formal presentations to meaningful experiences that foster mutual understanding and collaboration.
Pakistan’s presence at ECO Tourism Capital 2026 continues to highlight not only its culinary excellence but also its commitment to building strong regional relationships through culture, heritage, and hospitality.
